Need help with a problem on 1997 ford contour, engine light came on to replace oxygen sensor,? - light sensor staying on
Sensor is replaced, drive the car for about 1 miles engine light came back with the same problem. Composure just in case I had a bad sensor, but remained light.

There is no more than 1 O2 sensor?
Ok, what is the code and what is the engine?
Codes of compensation and other issues mean again .. Codes of O2, whether heating, wiring shorts or most likely the fuse for the heating source is blown under the hood or dashboard ...
Check fuses first burned .. then recommend a store to the possibility that the subject and the cabling a nightmare, in these things ...
If the codes are rich or poor, disconnect the battery reroad clear test and see if the light is, and if so, probably vacuum leak or something that causes the vehicle to run rich

I have a 96 Ford countor gl I know what you mean. Candles. How many miles on your countor. I Build my engine for 1 year. before. I have less than 10 thousand miles on the engine. The same thing happened to me, I changed my sensor, and later came within a few days. I checked out the candles, and another had a bad spark. replaced, and never had a problem there with him. they are the protectors of the gas wells. Engine 4 cyl. Good luck.
